SUMMARY:yes, let’s: Improv Class, Las Vegas, NV | Oct. 14-Nov. 18, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come See What Happens When You Say “Yes”\nWelcome to “yes, let’s,” a unique improv class designed for being human in all its wonderfully imperfect glory. At Vegas Improv Power, we believe in ‘Improv for being a human®’. Our classes focus on real-life applications that go far beyond traditional comedy improvisation.\nEmbracing Life’s Opportunities\nIn our often-hesitant world, we frequently find ourselves saying “no” to new experiences and ideas before giving them a chance. Yet, research shows that embracing a “yes” mindset can lead to increased creativity, better problem-solving, and more fulfilling relationships. As noted by improv expert Kelly Leonard, “The fundamental principle of improvisation is to say ‘yes’ to the reality that is presented to you” (Leonard & Yorton, 2015). Our class invites you to embrace this powerful concept, utilizing exercises and activities that foster openness, spark personal growth, and build stronger connections with others and the world around you.\nWhat You’ll Learn\nThrough engaging exercises and games, you’ll enhance crucial life skills, including uncertainty tolerance, communication skills, and being open to new experiences, boosting your ability to connect authentically with others both on and off the stage. Our unique Functional Improv® exercises and games are designed to refine your:\n\nAbility to embrace new experiences\nOpenness to change and uncertainty\nAdaptability and resilience\nCreativity and innovative thinking\nListening skills\nStorytelling abilities\nCapacity to see opportunities in challenges\nThe power of saying ‘yes, let’s’\n\nImprov for Anxiety and Social Skills\nRecent research has shown that improv training can significantly reduce discomfort with uncertainty, a common trait of social anxiety and depression. RSVP for our upcoming “yes, let’s” class!\nFrequently Asked Questions\nQ: What if I’ve never done improv before?\nA: No prior experience is necessary for our “yes, let’s” class! We welcome beginners (and pros alike!) and design our exercises to be accessible for all skill levels. Our supportive environment ensures everyone feels comfortable exploring improv at their own pace. Need a little more hand holding? Let us know! Want to know how to kick an exercise up a notch? Let us know that as well!\nQ: I’m an introvert. Is this class suitable for me?\nA: Absolutely! Many of our students are introverts who find that improv helps them build confidence and social skills in a safe, supportive environment. In fact, one of our teachers, Ryan, is a proud, self-proclaimed introvert and loves diving in with his type of people. Our “Improv for being human” approach focuses on personal growth rather than performance, making it ideal for introverts.\nQ: What if I’m an extrovert? Or an experienced improviser?\nYou’re both welcome as well. In fact, anyone (ages 21+) is welcome! We talk a lot about ensemble in our classes for good reasons. People of all types are necessary parts in making an effective ensemble. There’s a reason you haven’t heard of a baseball team consisting entirely of right fielders!\nQ: How can improv help with anxiety?\nA: Research has shown that improv can help reduce social anxiety and discomfort with uncertainty. Our exercises encourage spontaneity and help you become more comfortable with unpredictable situations, which can translate to reduced anxiety in daily life.\nQ: What’s the difference between Functional Improv® and regular improv classes?\nA: Functional Improv® focuses on real-life applications of improv skills. We utilize many of the same exercises and games but have a different focus and debrief. While traditional improv classes often emphasize performance and comedy, our approach prioritizes personal growth, communication skills, and practical tools you can use in your everyday life and work.\nQ: How long are the “yes, let’s” classes?\nA: Each “yes, let’s” class session is 2.5 hours long, providing ample time for warm-ups, exercises, and group activities. The full course runs for 6 weeks, allowing for sustained skill development and personal growth. And if you still want more, we often schedule the next successive class for a few weeks after a class ends. Many of our students have so much fun that they take all three classes, becoming a Vegas Improv Power graduate. Finally, if you really want your mind blown, our world record is having a student take 7 different classes with us. It’s not that they forgot what we taught, it’s that improv can be thought of more as an ongoing practice, much like yoga.\nQ: Will this class help me in my professional life?\nA: Definitely! The skills you’ll develop in our “yes, let’s” class, such as active listening, adaptability, and creative problem-solving, are highly valued in the workplace. Many of our students report improved communication with colleagues and enhanced leadership skills after taking our classes.\nQ: Where are the classes held?\nA: Our classes are conveniently located in central Las Vegas, just minutes from the Strip. Las Vegas Little Theatre is centrally located for easy access, right near Decatur and Spring Mountain. We’re easily accessible for residents from Henderson, Summerlin, and have had a resident or three from Boulder City make the trek too.\nQ: Do I need to prepare anything for the class?\nA: Just bring yourself and an open mind! No materials are necessary, though you may want to bring a snack and some water, a coffee, a soda, or whatever you prefer (just no alcohol) as we don’t have any drinks or snacks to provide.
